Ini Bali During COVID-19

This is Bali (ini Bali) during the coronavirus pandemic. These images were made in and around Ubud, Bali in July 2020.

Life goes on. Even if there are no tourists. June and July are the peak months for kite flying on the island. The winds during these two months are strong and steady. This creates the perfect conditions to “go fly a kite.”

I think there are more kites than usual this year because there isn’t much to do without tourism.

Life goes on at Pasar Ubud. A vendor strides by a sanitation booth that shoes the steps for proper hand washing. There’s much more activty here in July compared to March/April.
